The Harrisburg area was caught in the slow melt this week, following last weekend’s snow/sleet/ice storm. This meant a few cold days for our reporters, who were out and about covering important local news stories. In case you missed one, we have all of our coverage warmly recapped below.

Happy Weekend!

In a most unusual move (for me, these days), I’m starting off the weekend with dinner with a girlfriend (and no kids).

If you’re looking for some Friday night fun, the PA Auto Show is hosting its first-ever Beer + Wine Garden inside the show on Friday evening (5-9 p.m.) ONLY! Details + Tickets.

On Saturday, it’s a work meeting followed by Microdermabrasion & Mimosas party with The Skincare Coach. I’d love to also go to Ashcombe’s plant propagation workshop, but I fear I can’t ditch the fam that long.

Plus, it’s 3rd in the Burg!

Will it or won’t it? Snow, that is. Sort of holds the future of my weekend. I have plans to take Bo to see Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood at Hershey Theatre on Saturday. Plus, that night is the GK Team dinner. Of course, if snow happens, none of that likely does.

Otherwise (and maybe entirely), a chill weekend for us, and that’s a-OK by me.

It was almost like the holidays never happened, as everyone settled back into their old routines this past week. Here at TheBurg, we had five full days of news reporting, and, boy, are we tired. In case a Farm Show food coma caused you to miss any of our coverage, we have it all recapped right here.

Don’t forget, we have your tips on what to eat and drink while you’re there! In the market for a new doc? Or, looking for some cool new services (like IV Infusion Therapy, medical massage, acupuncture)? My wonderful doctor, The Burick Center for Health & Wellness, is hosting an Open House. Bring a friend and check it out! Otherwise, Andy is out of town almost the whole weekend, so we’ll be low-key. Probably market-bound at some point. Popcorn. That kind of thing.

The 104th Pennsylvania Farm Show kicks off this weekend, starting with the Food Court opening on Friday. I’ll be there tomorrow for the First Taste, so tune your channels to (well, any local media) my IG/FB for the highlights! I’m really looking forward to trying Bell & Evans new chicken meatball, which makes its Farm Show debut!
