TheBurg is a community magazine that covers the area in and around Harrisburg, Pa. We publish monthly, typically a day or two before the beginning of the month. We distribute copies of TheBurg to more than 400 locations in the greater Harrisburg area, including in Dauphin, Cumberland, York, Lancaster, Lebanon, and Perry counties. Our current circulation for the print magazine is 18,000+.

￼￼￼Over more than eight years, TheBurg has built a reputation for quality reporting, writing and design as we serve our community in central Pennsylvania. Keystone Press Awards recognizes excellence in journalism and design. For the 2017 awards, the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association received over 3,950 entries from 128 publications across the commonwealth. TheBurg won awards in our division (weekly, over 10,000 circulation) sweeping all categories to win 14 awards.

- 1st of the month: TheBurg is fully distributed to more than 350 locations throughout greater Harrisburg.
- 15th of the month: Deadline for all copy, including “Community Corner” and “Happenings” event listings. Submit copy to firstname.lastname@example.org

Larry Binda is co-founder and is the editor-in-chief of TheBurg. He oversees all functions of the magazine, including editorial content, design and sales. He has worked for many newspapers and magazines, including as an editor, a staff writer and a contributor. Larry holds a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.
Lauren Maurer is TheBurg’s Director of Sales, responsible for all aspects of the sales process. She is active with the Olde Uptown Neighborhood Association and Harrisburg Young Professionals. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Messiah College and a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Lauren is dedicated to making Harrisburg a great place to live, work and play. Kelsey Tatge is TheBurg’s Sales Executive, responsible for developing new advertising accounts and assisting the Director of Sales. Megan Davis is the creative director for TheBurg, responsible for the overall art direction and design. This includes brainstorming artwork for each article, directing layout, photography and illustration. She believes TheBurg is a true reflection of the evolving culture in Harrisburg, and is excited to be part of such a positive and talented team. Andrea Black is the 3rd in the Burg coordinator for TheBurg. In this role, she organizes and oversees Harrisburg’s monthly arts and community event. She is also responsible for securing sponsorships and funding for 3rd in the Burg. In addition, she helps run other special events and projects.
