Home sales, prices rose in Harrisburg area in June, says report

Harrisburg-area home sales and prices both increased in June, according to the latest report on previously owned houses.

For the three-county area, 676 homes changed hands compared to 634 in June 2025, as the median sales price rose to $326,500 from $303,700, stated data from the Greater Harrisburg Association of Realtors (GHAR).

In Dauphin County, 296 houses sold in June versus 298 in the year-ago period, as the median sales price grew to $290,500 from $275,000, GHAR said.

Cumberland County had 336 sales, up from 290 last June, while the median sales price rose to $369,995 from $338,000, according to GHAR.

In Perry County, 46 homes sold in June, a jump from 36 a year ago, as the median sales price increased to $309,000 from $278,500, GHAR stated.

The pace of home sales slowed a bit in June, as “average days on market” rose to 25 days from 22 days, said GHAR.
